Our Commitment to
You
& Your New Puppy
Quality
bred Labradoodles have very nice temperaments. They are wonderful
with people of all ages and are extremely loyal in every way. They
are very playful and sometimes comical, highly intelligent and very
easy to train with low to non-shedding coats. We consider it a
privilege and an honor to have a part in both protecting and
broadening the gene pool of these dogs and it is for this reason
that we chose to become breeders of Multi-gen Labradoodles. We truly
believe they are the ultimate dog!
Shortly after
arriving in Oregon, we attended a Labradoodle Romp at
Spring Creek Labradoodles. Rochelle's guest was Rutland
Manor's Beverley Rutland-Manners. On the first day many were in
attendance and there were lots of Labradoodles everywhere! We had so
much fun and I could not believe how all those dogs just ran around
and played with each other for hours. On the second day, Beverley
held a seminar for those of us who had hopes of becoming a breeder.
She shared her love for dogs with us and she shared her many years
of experience working with animals. Best of all, she shared her
desires with us concerning the Australian Labradoodle. One thing she
taught us was that they had changed the standard procedure of
breeding full bred dogs (every other heat for the entire life of the
bitch) to breeding twice a year age 2 through 5 and then spaying and
retiring a bitch to let her have a life. Like many Labradoodle
breeders I know of and being the dog-lover that I am, I embraced
this practice with open arms.
As stated on our
story page, our dogs live with us in our home and, as our program
grows, some will be placed in approved guardian homes with families
who will be keeping them after they retire from our program. We will
never build a kennel on our property. We believe that it is
extremely important that all our dogs and their puppies get lots and
lots of love and attention and we are dedicated to making sure they
get plenty of everything they need. We want you to rest assured that
your puppy will have great socialization skills by the time it
arrives at your home.
Our foremost
priority is the health & welfare of our dogs and the puppies we
produce. Our dogs come from beautiful pedigrees and we keep detailed
records of all ancestral lines. We do not, nor will we ever practice
inbreeding or line breeding. We use programs designed to
keep accurate records of pedigrees which also cross reference all
relationships, thereby preventing any inbreeding or line breeding.
We are committed to health testing and
we spay and neuter all our puppies at
7 weeks of age, with the exception of a few that are kept either for
our program or sold to other professional breeders. Early
spay/neuter is done for several reasons. First, it prevents puppies
from being indiscriminately bred, thereby helping to protect the
gene pool of the Australian Labradoodle and helping to prevent more
unwanted puppies from being taken to the shelters. Also, we believe
that puppies have a much shorter and easier recovery period at 7
weeks and we believe neutered male puppies are much easier to potty
train. The only documented side effect of early spay/neuter is that
some pups may end up 1-2" taller due to the fact that growth plates,
which normally close during puberty, take longer to fuse.

spay/neuter.
We will stand
firmly behind every puppy that we sell and we will honor every word
of our contract. We only sell puppies under written contract which
states our policy regarding health warranty and refund/return. Our
contract also includes our expectations of the buyer and is to be
signed by all parties concerned.
