Our Application
& Contract
Please rest
assured that all of the puppies we produce here at Happy Tails come
from a very long line of healthy breeding stock. We perform all
sorts of health testing on all of the dogs that we place in our
breeding program including PennHIP and CERF examinations. We love our dogs
very much and nothing is more important to us than placing our
puppies in loving homes where they will have a lifetime of quality
care and happiness. We want you to be very happy with your new
family member. Therefore, we ask that you fill out an application in
order to be considered as a possible family for adopting one of our
beautiful puppies. If our application seems extensive to you, please
keep in mind that we want to make sure that your family understands
all that is involved in caring for a new puppy. We highly
recommend that you sit down together to fill out the application as
it will help teach children all that is involved, as well as help
you think of some things that may not have occurred to you yet.

In order to receive a more rapid reply, you may fax your application
to us which will also guarantee* a higher
placement in the order of matching puppies to families. Upon approval, we will contact you via email. At that time we will
request that you immediately send in your non-refundable deposit of
$250 which will be applied toward the purchase price of your puppy.
If your application was originally faxed,
please mail the original, signed application to us.
*In order for your application to
hold it's priority placement, your deposit must be postmarked or
made via PayPal
within 48 hours of the date of your application approval. We
recommend asking for delivery confirmation when mailing your
deposit. Again, please include the original application.
We produce only Australian Multi-gen Labradoodles with both
Australian & American lines and our puppies are $2500 each plus $300
shipping.
Our preferred payment method is Cashiers Check. However, we also
accept personal checks (expect delay for clearance), money orders
(may also expect delay for clearance) and credit/debit
card payments through PayPal. If you wish to use PayPal for the
entire process of your purchase, it will require 3 (4 if shipping
via air) payments due to a
$2000 USD limit. Please use the buttons below

Here's what you
can expect. We accept up to six reservations per expected litter.
The first application received will be the first considered for
matching puppies to families, provided deposits are postmarked as
per instructions above. We do reserve the right to retain puppies
from our litters for use within our own program. We will do our very
best to ensure that each family gets what they are looking for
(color, sex, etc.), but obviously that involves a lot of decision
making and, in order to be fair, we have a system that requires
cooperation from all parties involved from the very beginning. We
cannot guarantee that everyone will get exactly what they are
looking for, therefore we ask that you list preferences in order of
priority on the application. One thing you may want to keep in mind
concerning the sex of your puppy: de-sexed puppies show virtually no
difference in personality. Little boys and little girls are equally
loving, fun, playful, energetic, intelligent and so forth. Unless
the sex of your puppy is critical to you, we recommend that you
place that choice least in your list of priorities.
As soon as the
puppies are born we will send out birth announcements with pictures
via email. You can expect an update with pictures every two weeks.
When the puppies are three weeks old we will offer you a choice of
two shipping dates. Please make every effort in choosing one of
these dates as we have a long drive to the airport and it's not
possible for us to meet each need individually. The more information
you provide us concerning your schedule prior to the puppies
reaching three weeks of age, the more we will be able to choose
dates which work out better for you. We will do the best we can to
accommodate everyone's schedule.
After shipping
dates are confirmed, we will remind you to schedule an appointment
with your veterinarian within 5 days of the arrival of your puppy.
This is a condition of the contract and proof of examination must be
provided to Happy Tails Labradoodles in order to keep the contract
and health warranty valid.
Final payment (in
the form of a money order) is due by the time your puppy is four
weeks old. The balance will be the purchase price, less the $250.00
deposit, plus $300.00 shipping fees. This covers transportation to
the airport, air fare, health clearance and your puppy's airline
approved crate.
When the puppies
are six weeks old we will make final placement decisions. Of course,
we encourage your input based on what you see in the pictures. For
those of you that live locally, please keep in mind that we do not
allow visitors when we have puppies. They are simply too vulnerable
to germs and viruses before they have begun their vaccinations. We
take every precaution in protecting them and it involves lots of
hand washing and protection of all surfaces they come in contact
with. If you feel that a litter has not produced the puppy you were
hoping for, then you may opt to wait for the next available litter.
Immediately after
the puppies have been matched to their families we will send you two
signed copies of our contract/health warranty. Please sign and
return one copy no later than the date listed on page two.

warranty. Our contract has been designed to protect puppy, buyer and
seller and we ask that you review it very carefully as it is a
legally binding contract. Please be sure to return the contract
immediately as we will not ship any puppies unless all documentation
and payments have been received.
Your new puppy
will be shipped at nine weeks of age and will arrive with the
following: A pedigree certificate, a puppy care
booklet produced by Spring Creek called 'Your Doodle and You'
which provides helpful information on doodles and training, collar &
leash, 2 toys, 3 day supply of food, water bottle and an airline
approved travel crate.
Arrangements can
be made for those of you who would like to pick up your puppy. These
puppies can be picked up as early as eight weeks old. Of course this
means you will not have to pay the shipping fee. However, please
remember to bring a pet taxi. We will hold puppies for one week
after final shipping date with no charge. After that, we charge a
fee of $12 per day.
